Testing for scleroderma 

There isn’t one specific test for diagnosing scleroderma. However, using several tests can help to build a good picture of what is happening to your body.1 Find out what tests are commonly used.

Your doctor will decide which tests they need to do and when. It may be that the tests are not all done at the same time. The diagram below shows some of the tests that your doctor might use:

There are many other tests that you might be asked to have. Each test is important.

Your doctor will tell you when to expect your results. If you’re unsure about what they mean, don’t be afraid to ask your doctor to explain. This can give you a better understanding of your own symptoms and disease.
